For over 100 years, guests of the Art Deco Hotel Montana in Lucerne have enjoyed a fantastic view of Lake Lucerne.

While the breathtaking view has not changed, the use, appearance and furnishings of the hotel have been subject to constant change. The most recent changes involved 26 rooms on the third and fourth floors, including five junior suites. The interiors have been completely renovated, giving historical charm and contemporary design.

Since 1903, the Romantikhotel Schweizerhof in Flims has been welcoming those seeking peace and tranquillity. Despite its 120-year history, the hotel has been repeatedly renovated to strike a balance between historic romanticism and modern design.

Recently, the natural stone indoor pool was renovated and extended to include a large sauna and wellness area, as well as seminar and mindfulness rooms. The aim was to create a contemporary spa area that meets today’s needs.

The headquarters and residence of the architecture firm R&S Luxury Design is located on a hill in the canton of Aargau. The former manor house, which is more than one hundred years old, was restored with great attention to detail and transformed into a contemporary design without overwriting its historic past.

The result is a true gem that combines modern, comfortable living and working with traditional elements.
